Manuscripts and Rare Books Collection

The manuscripts and Rare Book Collection in University Bar Ilan named after Herbert Berman, includes some 20,000 rare books, and over 1,200 manucripts. The collection includes material in Bible, Jewish law, Jewish mysticism, Jewish art and poetry, Haggadot, Chassidic literature and more.

Students and researchers from Bar Ilan who wish to access a book from this collection, must fill out and submit a request form. The rare book or manuscript will be brought to the Judaica Library for the reader's reference.

Forms are collected from Sunday – Thursday between 13:00 – 15:00. The rare books and/or manuscripts will be brought to the Judaica Library 20 minutes after the forms are collected.
