Reference Services at the Library of Information Science
Information retrieval is our expertise, and providing Reference Services is our highest priority!
You can receive guidance from us on how to use library resources, how to locate information in Databases, and more.
Additionally, we conduct reference sessions to assist with targeted information retrieval based on your research topics.
It is possible to coordinate a group or individual training session. These sessions can be held in the library, in the classroom, in the lab, or via Zoom.
Individual Consultations
Sometimes, a brief "one-on-one" session is all it takes to gain clarity. Are you working on a seminar paper and unsure where to begin your literature search? Are you drafting a research proposal and find yourself in need of current scholarly articles? Has your supervisor requested a validated questionnaire, and you are uncertain about its definition or how to locate one? Are you encountering difficulties with complex searches or gaining full-text access?
We are here to assist you with these challenges and more. Our support is available at every stage of your academic journey, from the initial orientation for first-year students to the final stages of a doctoral dissertation.
We recommend scheduling an Individual Consultation as part of our Reference Services. Meetings are held by prior appointment, either in person at the library or via Zoom.
When requesting a meeting, please provide the librarian with details regarding your research topic and specific information needs. A clear and precise definition of your requirements enables us to help you retrieve higher-quality, relevant information more effectively.
To schedule a session, please contact us via email or through the "Contact Us" form.
Group Reference Services
Working on a collaborative project? Whether you are searching for articles on a specific topic or need guidance on navigating a database recommended by your instructor,
we offer group training sessions tailored to your needs. We would be pleased to coordinate a joint consultation with your group.
Sessions are available both in person and via Zoom, according to your preference. To schedule a session, please contact us via email or through the "Contact Us" form.

In-Class and Course-Integrated Instruction
Dear Faculty,
We have extensive experience in successfully integrating into academic courses and providing instruction sessions specifically tailored to your curriculum.
You are invited to coordinate customized instruction sessions with us. We can join your class to deliver a "bespoke" session designed around your specific requirements and your students' needs.
These sessions should be coordinated in advance to finalize the date, time, location, and technical requirements, as well as the specific learning objectives and content you wish to emphasize.
We look forward to collaborating with you.
