About
Chemistry–Physics Library
The Chemistry–Physics Library encompasses the collections of the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. The library’s holdings include professional and scientific literature across a wide range of topics in chemistry and physics, printed textbooks for students at all academic levels and faculty members, theses (Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy) from both departments, electronic and print journals, and electronic databases.
The library’s print collection is divided into two main sections:
- The first section consists of open shelves containing books, journals, and theses with unrestricted access.
- The second section includes Reserved Books (available for Chemistry only), which are accessible through the Library Staff.
The library serves faculty and students of the Departments of Chemistry and Physics specifically, as well as the broader academic community of Bar-Ilan University.
The library offers a quiet Learning Space and two rooms for group study.

Learning Spaces in Physics
Access to the Learning Spaces is restricted to students from the Departments of Physics and Chemistry and is granted exclusively via fingerprint identification.
Seating in the rooms is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Learning Space Guidelines:
- Food is strictly prohibited in the Learning Spaces.
- Study rooms are designated for group study only (4 people per room). Individual study areas are available elsewhere.
- Personal belongings must not be left unattended. The library assumes no responsibility for lost items.
- Use of the study rooms is permitted only when occupied. Leaving belongings in a room without being present does not constitute a valid Reserve a Room in the Library. In such cases, other students may enter and use the room.
- Room 3 is closed to students and reserved exclusively for department faculty.
- In cases of unforeseen circumstances or misunderstandings, final judgment and decisions will be made solely by the Learning Spaces team.
